The national institute of open schooling currently has more than 12 lakh enrolled students at secondary and senior secondary stage and is currently the world’s biggest open schooling organization. But it is almost impossible for one single organization to cater to the education requirements and variations of every region of a multicultural country like India. It is hard for a national level organization to extend its coverage and functions and increase its enrollment beyond a limit. For covering all the possible regions the opening school system is strengthened and promoted by the concept of State open School. Eleven different states in India have established the open schools and Uttar Pradesh is one of such state. NIOS has been providing all the technical and professional help of these states.
